AREA SALES MANAGER

ROLE DESCRIPTION

An Area Sales Manager is a sales leader responsible for driving business growth and managing the performance of Medical Representatives within an assigned territory. At Brady Pharma Inc., the Area Sales Manager leads the sales force to achieve targets, expand market presence, and develop strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales performance management: Lead, monitor, and evaluate the sales performance of Medical Representatives to ensure achievement of sales targets. This includes setting sales budgets, analyzing monthly results, addressing performance gaps, and assisting with account concerns.

Territory and customer coverage: Ensure effective territory coverage by regularly reviewing customer master lists, introducing new customers, and optimizing the Master Coverage Plan to maximize productivity and reach.

Coaching and field supervision: Provide continuous coaching, training, and fieldwork support to Medical Representatives through regular audits, field visits, role-playing, and performance evaluations to improve selling skills and product knowledge.

Business and market development: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and product movement. Use market data to grow existing accounts, develop new opportunities, and recommend strategies for improvement to management.

Team leadership and coordination: Build team morale, motivate high performance, enforce discipline when necessary, and coordinate with logistics, finance, distributors, and head office to resolve operational concerns.

Reporting and compliance: Ensure timely submission of required sales, market, and administrative reports, and perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience as manager in the same field
  • With a solid experience in Pharmaceutical Sales & Management
  • Exposure in the field of Derma lines and Ophtha lines
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent oral, and written communication skills
  • Above average interpersonal skills, independent and mature business acumen.
  • Willing to handle the Visayas Area or Mindanao Area

At Brady Pharma Inc. you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals by providing them with information regarding the company's products. Their primary role is to promote and sell their company's products to healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Meeting sales targets: Medical representatives are responsible for achieving their assigned sales targets for their products. They must identify potential customers, generate leads, and convert them into sales.

Product promotion: Medical representatives need to have a detailed understanding of their company's products and be able to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and rationale for their use to healthcare professionals. They may do this through one-on-one meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.

Relationship building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals is critical for medical representatives. This involves regular visits, providing support and education about their products, and addressing any concerns or queries.

Market intelligence: Medical representatives are responsible for gathering market intelligence, such as competitor information, market trends, and customer needs. They need to analyze this information to design effective sales strategies and provide feedback to their company to improve products and services.

Reporting and documentation: Medical representatives are usually required to maintain detailed records of their sales activities, customer interactions, and market data. They must provide regular reports to their sales manager or company to track their progress and contribute to sales forecasting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of any 4-year course
  • With experience in the same field or similar industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
