
Psychologist / Social Worker

Essential Duties:
Provides facilitation and coordination in the development of services for children and families.
Implements strength-based family centered methodology into planning to ensure individualized care.
Understands interactions of complex systems in the context of a family's life, service delivery structures, and the community's resources.
Elicits, values, and incorporates different perspectives in action plans and strategies to help children stabilize and connect them to a permanent placement/setting.
Participates with families as a complete unit with focus on individual strengths/concerns/needs.
Partners with parents to ensure parent voice, choice, and access.
Facilitates the development and refinement of effective safety plans.
Provides leadership role in linking parents, youth, and staff when a crisis arises.
Assists Behavior Specialists and other team members to develop strength-based interventions and strategies.
Provides meeting minutes to all Child and Family Team (CFT) members and facilitates communication plans and accountability.
Participates effectively in both internal and external multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Assesses and integrates internal and external customers' concerns, needs, and expectations into the planning process.
Provides effective therapeutic linkages with referral sources, collateral contacts, community resources and program staff.
Manages flexible schedule consistent with family and program needs.
Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of interventions
Demonstrates effective personal organizational systems to ensure documentation accuracy and timeliness.
Completes assessments and evaluations that are appropriate to youth and family strengths and needs.
Demonstrates proficient skills and abilities regarding conflict management and mediation.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social work or psychology required.
Master's Degree (MA/ MS) in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling is preferred.
Experience Requirement:
- One (1) year experience with children required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of clinical experience with children preferred.
- Training in domestic violence, physical/sexual child abuse and suicidal trauma preferred.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
