Job Summary:

The Trucking Operations Assistant supports the logistics and trucking operations team in ensuring the efficient distribution and delivery of containers. This role coordinates with trucking service providers, monitors delivery schedules, and assists in maintaining smooth and timely container movements from port to destination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the assignment and distribution of containers to trucking service providers.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch and arrival of trucks.
  • Communicate with trucking partners, warehouse teams, and clients for status updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of container movements, dispatch logs, and delivery reports.
  • Assist in resolving delivery issues, delays, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Support the Operations Officer in planning and optimizing delivery routes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and port regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in logistics, trucking, or port operations is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office or logistics management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
