About the Job:
We're excited to welcome a Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller who thrives on precision, analysis, and making an impact If you have strong technical accounting skills, a solid grasp of payroll and accounts payable, and love working with large datasets in Excel, this is your chance to shine. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations—ensuring accuracy in financial records, managing rent and lease schedules, and driving meaningful insights through operational reporting and analysis. What You'll Do:

• Own the monthly close process for key financial areas, including payroll, leases, and accruals—your work will be foundational to our financial accuracy and integrity.

• Maintain and reconcile rent and lease schedules, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and supporting clear visibility into our real estate and contractual obligations.

• Lead payroll accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis—ensuring employees are accounted for and financials stay aligned.

• Oversee accounts payable activities, partnering with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless processing that supports our vendor relationships.

• Analyze financial data using advanced Excel models, delivering actionable insights that help shape budgets, forecasts, and strategic decisions.

• Assist in preparing internal reports and external audit responses, playing a key role in upholding transparency and compliance across the organization.

• Collaborate with FP&A and operations teams to fuel smart, data-driven decisions that drive growth and efficiency across departments.

• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements—we value your ideas and initiative in helping us scale smarter and work better every day.

What You'll Bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—CPA or CPA-track candidates are a definite plus.

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as healthcare, multi-site operations, or startups.

• Solid understanding of GAAP, with bonus points for hands-on experience in lease accounting and payroll processes.

• Excel superpowers—you're comfortable with pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas, and large data sets.

• Familiarity with accounting platforms like Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or QuickBooks is a big advantage.

• A sharp analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for accuracy.

• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, ever-evolving work environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with statistical accounts and multi-entity consolidations.

• Familiarity with payroll systems like Gusto or ADP.

• Hands-on experience with A/P automation tools such as or Tipalti.
