Job Summary:

  • Client has quickly established itself as the go-to global brand for car care products. As we continue to experience rapid growth and expansion, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and long-term financial reporting. This role combines traditional bookkeeping duties—such as reconciliation and ledger maintenance—with higher-level accounting tasks including financial analysis, budgeting, tax preparation/submission and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Financial Management:

  • Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts on a regular basis
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger
  • Manage employee expense reports
  • Manage the processing of Purchase Orders and Sales Invoices.

Accounting and Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist in budget planning and monitor actual vs. budgeted performance
  • Manage tax reporting and compliance (sales tax, VAT, corporate tax, etc.)
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure proper documentation of financial procedures
  • Generate financial reports to support business planning and decision-making
  • Understand and ensure compliance with applicable global tax laws and assist in tax preparation and submission. (eg Avalara)
  • Annual business tax return preparation and submission particularly USA

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper and/or accountant
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Experienced in compiling and submitting annual tax documentation for businesses
  • Able to work autonomously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Familiarity with international tax laws and financial regulations particularly USA
