The Civil Engineer will plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, dams, water supply systems, and other public works. The role involves managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and supervise construction projects including buildings, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD and other design software.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws.
  • Monitor project progress, manage schedules, and coordinate with contractors, architects, and other engineers.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, and data to plan project layouts and design structures.
  • Review and approve materials, construction methods, and quality assurance measures.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide technical advice and resolve design and construction issues as they arise.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred for senior roles).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
