Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; a major in Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Editorial Acumen: Strong understanding of the online news landscape and the difference between credible journalism and low-quality/deceptive content.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to apply editorial judgment (e.g., evaluating sources, detecting misleading narratives, differentiating opinion vs. fact).
  • U.S. Awareness: Interest in and working knowledge of U.S. news, current events, politics, and culture.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus and ability to interpret and apply complex policy guidelines consistently.
  • Resilience: Comfortable reviewing sensitive or graphic content (e.g., violence, drug use, explicit material).
