Job Description

A bosun (or boatswain) supervises the deck crew, manages the maintenance and operation of a ship's deck equipment and exterior, and ensures safety compliance during tasks like cargo handling and mooring. Key duties include leading deckhands, performing repairs and cleaning, overseeing cargo operations, participating in emergency responses, and acting as a communication link between the deck crew and ship's officers.
