CORPORATE LEGAL COUNSEL

(National Capital Reg – Taguig City)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources of the Legal Department;
  • Advise management on governance, compliance, and regulatory risks, and ensure the company's operations comply with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on corporate and commercial matters;
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other construction-related agreements, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Guide the management on the legal implications of internal company policies and procedures;
  • Draft official letters and documents stating the company's legal position, and assist company's representatives in meetings, negotiations, and transactions with business partners, government agencies, and other corporations;
  • Handle in-house cases that may be assigned, and advise the management accordingly;
  • Oversee the progress of other cases and collaborate effectively with external counsel;
  • Carry out other duties that may be assigned by the management and provide legal support in all phases of construction.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent degree.
  • Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience especially in contract review, regulatory and licensing work, corporate matters, tax and labor disputes, and construction arbitration;
  • Preferably with experience in construction industry;
  • Excellent communication skills necessary for interaction and correspondence with the appropriate government agencies;
  • Ability to provide independent advice (orally and in writing) to top level management on highly technical matters;
  • Proven ability to delicately solve sensitive matter and highly confidential issues.
  • A notary public is an advantage.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in a full-time capacity.
  • Salary is negotiable (compensation package to be discussed on-board).
  • Resume' with 2x2 picture and Bar Rating Certificate is a must.
