OverviewWe are looking for a talented Automation & Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain automations, data pipelines, and lightweight software tools that make the company's marketing operations and client reporting run efficiently — reducing manual work across the business. This role is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, enjoys optimizing workflows, and has a strong technical foundation in Python, automation tools, and API integrations.Job HighlightsMonthly Rate: Php 80,000+Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Full-time (40 hours per week)Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM GMT/BST (flexible as long as core hours of 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM are covered)Work Arrangement: Work from homeContract: Independent ContractorSide Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.ResponsibilitiesAutomation & IntegrationBuild and maintain automations using n8n, Zapier, or Python.Connect Gmail, ClickUp, Slack, Google Sheets, Xero, SEMrush, and similar tools.Develop AI-driven workflows (e.g., email → LLM summary → ClickUp ticket creation).Maintain API keys, authentication, and error logging for reliability.Data & Dashboard SupportPull data from APIs (Google Lighthouse, Screaming Frog, Majestic, SEMrush, DataForSEO).Clean and merge datasets in Google Sheets, PostgreSQL/MariaDB, or Airtable.Prepare data feeds for Legmark's Digital Dashboard and automated reports.Web & Product MaintenanceSupport web developers by maintaining simple PHP/Python endpoints and cron jobs.Manage hosting for automations on AWS Lightsail or Cloudways.Deploy and monitor background scripts or bots.Process & DocumentationCreate clear documentation for each workflow (inputs, outputs, dependencies).Use GitHub for version control and change tracking.Recommend new opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.Reporting & CollaborationProvide daily short updates via Slack/ClickUp (work done + next steps).Participate in weekly check-in calls with Sam Borrett.Collaborate with Alex (development partner) for dashboard integration and Dora (operations) for workflow rollout.Example Projects in the First 3 MonthsEmail-to-ClickUp Intake Bot – analyze client emails via AI → auto-create tasks.Automated Lighthouse & Screaming Frog Reports – weekly site audits.Keyword Discovery + DataForSEO Enrichment pipeline.ClickUp → Google Sheets Sync for client reporting.Slack Reminder Bots for timesheets and task updates.RequirementsProficient in Python (requests, pandas, APIs, JSON).Experienced with n8n, Zapier, or similar automation tools.Familiar with MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL databases.Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Experience integrating with Google, ClickUp, Slack, and email APIs.Comfortable deploying scripts on a VPS (Lightsail/Linux).Strong written and spoken English.Nice-to-HavesData visualization (Looker Studio, Grafana, Streamlit).SEO/digital-marketing background or interest.Understanding of cron jobs and webhook architecture.Performance MetricsAutomations running reliably with
