WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the development, deployment, and support of solar technology solutions, with a strong emphasis on innovation and impact. This role includes managing a technical team to ensure the successful delivery and ongoing support of products that address community and client needs.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Head of Solar Technology Solutions will play a pivotal role in leading the technical aspects of product development, deployment, and support. He/she also plays a crucial role in driving the technical innovation and successful application of technology solutions to address community needs.

This role involves overseeing a team of technicians to ensure the successful testing, delivery, and after-sales requirements of technology solutions to clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of solar energy systems and products.
  • Be updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to product development of solar appliances.
  • Assess and select new technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance product performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive technology solutions tailored to meet client requirements or community needs.

  • Lead the optimization of technology systems including component selection, and engineering analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices in technology system design and installation.

  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely delivery of technologies to Hybrid within budget and scope.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors to procure materials and services necessary for technology procurement. .
  • Monitor product performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to address issues and mitigate risks.

  • Act as a technical liaison between the company and clients, providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to understand client needs and offer tailored solar solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional customer service.

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of technicians, and support staff to ensure a high level of technical proficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans to enhance team effectiveness and productivity.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

CORE COMPETENCIES

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in the solar energy industry with a focus on solar product development, design, and deployment.
  • Strong technical expertise in solar PV system design, photovoltaic technologies, inverters, energy storage, and related components.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex solar projects from conception to completion, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Relevant certifications and familiarity with software tools for solar design and simulation are desirable.
