Lawyer Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lawyer Assistant to support our client, a reputable Australian law firm. The successful candidate will assist in legal research, document drafting, and case management, ensuring all work meets high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced legal professionals and gain valuable exposure to Australian legal practices in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
• Maintain and organize case files and related documentation
• Coordinate with lawyers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure efficient communication and workflow
• Assist with compliance tracking and general administrative support

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, or a related field
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal department preferred (exposure to Australian law is an advantage)
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, research, and documentation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw)
