Full-Time Bookkeeper — Real Estate Accounting

Seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to handle end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple real estate investor accounts. The role is primarily back-office (minimal client interaction) and requires someone who can work independently, follow a task system, and track time accurately across clients. Key Responsibilities Process bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting schedules Prepare periodic financial reports for review Handle limited payroll (currently one client) Execute tasks from a task management/workflow system without hand-holding Track and submit timesheets by client and task Manage real estate accounting nuances: rental/tenant payments, property expenses, developers, renovations, construction costs Communicate via email for updates and clarifications as needed MUST-HAVE Qualifications 3–4 years bookkeeping/accounting experience (no entry-level) Strong QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Desktop proficiency Demonstrated real estate accounting experience (rentals, developments, construction/CapEx) Ability to work 9 AM – 5 PM CST consistently Independent, proactive, and reliable; strong task/time management and ownership Accurate timesheet discipline and familiarity with task/workflow tools Nice to Have Familiarity with Buildium Interest in real estate (e.g., rentals/Airbnb/property management)
