Position: Real Estate Bookkeeper

Location: Remote

Hours: ~20 hours per week

Rate: $5–6/hour

Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Real Estate Bookkeeper to support the growing operations of one of our clients. This role ensures financial transactions are properly categorized, reconciled, and maintained in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate is precise, systems-driven, and has experience in real estate bookkeeping.You will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring financials are clear, timely, and tax-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage QuickBooks Online for business and property accounts.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
  • Create and maintain bank rules for efficient categorization.
  • Record and match transactions to receipts/documentation.
  • Prepare financial statements, including P&L and property-specific balance sheets.
  • Track depreciation and update asset values per accounting standards.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews with leadership.
  • Track income/expenses by class, project, or property.
  • Support vendor categorization for accurate 1099 preparation.
  • Collaborate with CPA on reporting and adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in real estate or property management.
  • Strong expertise in QuickBooks Online (rules, reporting, reconciliations).
  • Experience preparing accurate balance sheets and depreciation schedules.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills with both accountants and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and integrations.

Key Outcomes for Success:

  • Timeliness: Transactions entered and reconciled in QuickBooks Online within 5 days.
  • Accuracy: Consistently correct coding and adjustments when classifications change.
  • Clarity: Financials clearly show property and portfolio performance.
  • Compliance: Records are tax-ready by year-end.Vendor Records: 1099 tracking and vendor categorization kept accurate.
  • Balance Sheets: Maintained monthly by property, with correct asset values and depreciation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php Php330.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
