Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the treasury function. You will be facilitating daily treasury operational duties by working with the finance team as well as external stakeholders to ensure that banking, accounting and compliance requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

Annual Operational Accountabilities

Benchmark Measure

Liquidity/Cash Flow

  • Assist with all operational daily cash flows

  • Pool cash from all secondary accounts when necessary

Foreign Currency

  • Support FX front-office processes including loading FX trades and rates, maintaining settlement instructions and updating FX mandates with counterparty banks

Debt Management

  • Drawdown/Paydown of all trade finance facilities including reconciliation of supplier/trade finance facilities

  • Assist in executing standby letters of credit / bank guarantees

Accounting

  • Provide information in connection with the external and internal audits

  • Supporting financial accountants with month end processes

  • Adhere to month-end cut-off schedules for reconciliations of all cash-related accounts, all month-end processes, and all related journal entries involving treasury transactions

Banking Administration/Compliance

  • Providing administrative support for all banking users

  • Completing compliance/KYC forms for banks when required.

  • Regular maintenance of user access across all banking platforms including PayPal, Adyen, other BNPL's

Desired Knowledge, Experience and Key Skills

  • Strong communication ability as you'll be working closely with various departments and stakeholders (finance, retail, legal, tax and banks)
  • Proficiency in accounting essential
  • Basic knowledge of the banking industry and foreign exchange ideal
  • Ability to apply finance and treasury principles
  • Prior treasury experience preferred but not essential
