Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client, backed by 25 years of expertise in the insurance brokerage industry, is currently seeking a Broker Assistant. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and claims assistance, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients and insurers.

This role follows Australian business hours (6 AM - 3 PM local PH time). Most of our roles are committed to a hybrid set up, 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home, after a 6-month probation period.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with clients and underwriters to help with new policies, renewals, changes, and quotes
  • Manage a personal portfolio of insurance claims from lodgement through to resolution, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Negotiating settlements and ensuring timely follow-up with insurers
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate client and claims records using Insight software
  • Sourcing competitive quotations for domestic insurance products, with potential progress into commercial lines
  • Assisting the broking team with administrative support and contributing to overall team success

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an insurance broking assistant role
  • Cert III or Tier 1 Insurance Broking certification
  • End-to-end claims management experience
  • Knowledge of insurer quoting and Insight software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
