We are seeking a Senior General Accountant with extensive experience in managing full-cycle accounting functions and strong proficiency in Xero Accounting Software. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficiency in daily financial operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to lead or mentor junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Handle BIR-related processes, including computation, filing, and submission of VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor Xero accounting records, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and payroll entries.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, government agencies, and tax authorities for audits and compliance matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and internal accounting policies.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero Accounting Software (certification or proven work experience required).
  • In-depth understanding of BIR processes, tax returns, and compliance requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of Philippine accounting principles, taxation laws, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
