Construction Foreman

A construction foreman supervises daily operations on a construction site, leading the crew, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and acting as a bridge between workers and management. Key duties include reading blueprints, delegating tasks, managing project timelines and materials, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Project supervision: Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring they adhere to plans, specifications, and deadlines.
• Crew leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to site personnel and subcontractors. This includes managing schedules, monitoring attendance, and ensuring effective use of manpower.
• Safety enforcement: Ensure all workers follow safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and use tools and machinery correctly.
• Quality control: Monitor the quality of work to meet high standards and original plans.
• Resource management: Manage and allocate resources like materials, tools, and equipment, and prevent wastage.
• Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between the crew, subcontractors, and upper management, reporting progress and resolving issues.
• Documentation: Maintain safety records and report on daily progress, including time, equipment, and materials used.
