About the role

Microtop Philippines, Inc. is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Laguna Technopark, Binan City, Laguna. As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the engineering and design efforts for our innovative products. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to the strategic objectives of the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products that meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conducting design reviews and analysis to ensure the quality, reliability, and manufacturability of our products.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Providing technical support and problem-solving assistance to the production team.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in engineering design, with a strong understanding of drafting and technical documentation.
  • Experience in plastic injection mold design is essential; knowledge of die-casting or other mold types is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, regulations, and best practices in the industry.
