Summary:

The role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a
550MW
solar power plant, including its switchyard, transmission line, and associated monitoring systems. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the facility by overseeing technical performance, managing site personnel, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The O&M Site Manager plays a key role in optimizing plant output, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall management and oversight of the project in consultation with the O&M Provider.
  • Monitor site activities and track progress to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports detailing plant performance, maintenance activities, and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable permits, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the safe and proper operation of all plant facilities including the solar power plant, switchyard, and transmission line.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the operations and maintenance staff.
  • Implement and improve the plant's Operations Plan and Maintenance Program.
  • Inspect plant logs, records, and coordinate with personnel to evaluate equipment status.
  • Respond promptly to abnormal conditions and initiate corrective actions.
  • Report emergency or unusual plant conditions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement preventive maintenance procedures and analyze equipment failure trends.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and initiate procurement of necessary equipment.
  • Prepare malfunction and inspection reports to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure proper execution of start-up and shutdown procedures for all equipment.
  • Coordinate with NGCP, distribution utilities, or electric cooperatives regarding outages and system requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Pre-requisites
:

  • Education:
    Must be a
    licensed Electrical Engineer
    .
  • Experience:
    With
    at least 8 years of experience
    in the operations and maintenance of power generation facilities, preferably in solar power plants.
  • Location:
    Must be
    willing to be assigned full-time on-site in Bugallon, Pangasinan
    .

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power plant operations, and safety standards.
  • Experience in implementing preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting electrical equipment.

Leadership:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and supervise daily operational activities.
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially in handling abnormal plant conditions.

Communication:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with external parties such as utilities and regulatory bodies.
