Description:Ubiquity, a leader in innovative solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of IT Engineering to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and maintenance ofour IT infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with our businessobjectives. Your strategic vision will guide the IT Engineering team through the complexities of modern ITchallenges, delivering effective solutions that support Ubiquity's growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with Ubiquity's businessgoals.

Lead the IT Engineering team in managing and optimizing infrastructure, including network,security, data centers, and cloud services.

  • Operational Management: Ensure smooth and efficient IT operations, maintaining highavailability and performance of IT systems.

Oversee the management of IT service delivery,including helpdesk, support services, and vendor management.

  • Risk Management and Compliance: Establish robust security protocols and disaster recoveryplans.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding data security and ITgovernance.

  • Budget and Resource Management:** Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuringcost-effective resource allocation.

Lead capital investment decisions for IT infrastructureenhancements.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Cultivate a high-performing IT team through effective hiring,training, and performance management.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement andinnovation.

  • Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in IT operations.

Leadthe exploration and implementation of new technologies to enhance business processes andcustomer experience.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs andchallenges.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executivemanagement, to ensure alignment and support for IT initiatives. Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or arelated field.

A Master's degree or relevant certifications (such as ITIL, PMP) is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructures and teams.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network management, datasecurity, and cloud technologies.

Experience with disaster recovery planning and riskmanagement.

  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.

Proven track record indeveloping IT strategies and leading high-performing teams.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong budgeting and financial management skills.

Experience in costoptimization and resource allocation.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Proficient incommunicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to tackle challengescreatively and efficiently.

  • Project Management: Solid experience in project management, with the ability to overseemultiple projects simultaneously.
