I MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

The Return to Vendor (RTV) Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing the return process of defective or excess merchandise to vendors or suppliers. Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Assistant Manager, this role involves coordinating with various departments, overseeing the RTV process, and ensuring timely and accurate returns to minimize inventory costs and maintain customer satisfaction.

II SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Supervise RTV Operations: Oversee the RTV process, including receiving return requests from retailers, inspecting returned merchandise, and coordinating return shipments to our facility.

Coordinate Returns: Liaise with retailers to obtain return authorizations, arrange for return shipments, and process return credits or replacements in a timely manner.

Quality Control: Ensure that returned merchandise meets quality standards and is properly documented for inventory reconciliation.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of returned merchandise, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and update inventory systems accordingly.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as any applicable regulations governing returns and inventory management.

Vendor Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with retail partners, address any issues or concerns related to returns, and collaborate on process improvements.

Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance metrics related to RTV operations, such as return rates, processing times, and inventory accuracy, and implement improvements as needed.

Training and Development: Train and develop RTV staff to ensure they are proficient in return procedures and customer service.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in RTV operations, and implement best practices to optimize the return process.

Qualifications:

Education:

Preferably Industrial Engineer Graduate

Technical Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a supplier or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of inventory management principles and return processing systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with retail partners and internal stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.

Knowledge of return processing systems and procedures.
