Programmatic Ad Operations Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead the growth and development of our programmatic advertising business and oversee all ad operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital advertising, programmatic strategies, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, while also staying abreast of industry trends and spearheading their adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Business Growth:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive the growth of programmatic advertising, identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand our programmatic advertising footprint. - Revenue Generation & Optimization:
Set revenue targets, implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed programmatic advertising revenue goals, and optimize pricing models, inventory management, and yield to maximize revenue potential. - Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead and inspire a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting skill development and career growth. - Campaign Management & Performance:
Oversee the end-to-end execution of programmatic advertising campaigns, ensuring they meet client objectives and deliver optimal results. Collaborate with the ad operations team to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize campaign performance. - Data Analysis & Insights:
Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve overall effectiveness. Make data-driven decisions to optimize inventory, targeting, and other variables. - Ad Operations & Technical Expertise:
Develop global programmatic strategy and identify opportunities to enhance and optimize Rappler's ad tech stack. Take the lead in administering Rappler's programmatic advertising and affiliate program platforms, in close coordination with Rappler's Technology, Community Growth, and Services teams. Provide best-in-class service and solutions to internal and external customers. Receive and review online advertising materials, set up campaigns, perform QA on creatives (dynamic, rich media, HTML5, video), and act as a consultant for conversion tracking implementation. - Reporting & Communication:
Generate weekly reports, work with stakeholders to ensure campaigns launch on time and revenue is maximized, troubleshoot third-party discrepancies, and maintain excellent project management abilities, keeping all stakeholders informed. - Compliance & Best Practices:
Stay abreast of industry regulations and best practices related to programmatic advertising. Be the go-to person internally and externally for creative specs, guidelines, and tracking-related questions. Working with Rappler's Data Protection Officer, ensure that all activities adhere to legal and ethical standards. - Collaboration & Innovation:
Work closely with the Business Intelligence and Revenue teams to identify key business challenges and generate best practices or efficiency ideas. Ensure growth in programmatic monetization across various channels.
