Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation:Setting up new air conditioning units and systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
  • Maintenance:Regularly inspecting and servicing AC units to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential problems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:Diagnosing issues with air conditioning systems, identifying faulty parts, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Customer Service:Providing clear explanations to customers about the issues and repairs, and addressing their questions or concerns.
  • Safety Compliance:Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines during installation, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any follow-up actions.
  • Staying Updated:Keeping current with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge:Understanding of how air conditioning systems work, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Troubleshooting Skills:Ability to diagnose problems and identify the root cause of issues with AC units.
  • Repair Skills:Proficiency in repairing or replacing faulty parts, soldering, and using various tools.
  • Customer Service Skills:Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients effectively.
  • Physical Stamina:Ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.
  • Safety Awareness:Understanding and adhering to safety procedures and regulations related to HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License:Many positions require a valid driver's license for traveling to different job sites.
  • Certifications:Certain certifications, like EPA certification or NATE certification, may be required or preferred, according to some job postings.
