About the role
DESCORP INC.' is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Brand Manager to join our thriving marketing team. In this full-time role, you will work closely with our Brand Managers to develop and execute innovative brand strategies that elevate our products and strengthen our market presence. Based in our vibrant Makati City office, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and evolution of our diverse brand portfolio.
What you'll be doing
BRAND
-
Assist in managing the local marketing mix (6Ps - Proposition, Product, Pack, Price, Place and Promotions).

Recommend and implement pricing for new SKUs and promotions for product line up.
-
Craft robust communication strategy for brand campaigns with convincing and impactful assets, using the most effective and appropriate channels in delivering single -minded messaging to target audiences.

Support the formation of a strong brand strategy, including identification of gaps and growth opportunities within the market, clear brand differentiation, and well-crafted portfolio and mix, giving the brand both short and long-term wins.

Assist in brand campaigns and innovations to drive business growth.
-
Gain an in-depth understanding of consumers and competitors – the business environment in which the brands compete including category segments, channels and customers through the analysis of available data and information.

Keep a pulse on competitors' latest activities and business focus, and communicate key insights with internal partners along with recommended actions.

Assist in the planning of project timelines and defining key milestones and responsibilities for effective progress on on-time launches.

Assist in growing e-commerce presence through formulation and implementation of campaigns and innovations with partners.

Analyze the success of marketing campaigns and submit reports to the Brand Manager.

Supervise advertising, product design, and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in branding.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
-
Work with the Brand Manager, Area Sales Manager and E-Commerce Manager to push traffic and achieve sales targets.
-
Analyze reports from Demand Planner, Warehouse Manager, Area Sales Manager, and E-Commerce Manager regarding excess inventory, slow moving, and near expiry SKUs and promotional items. Decide on an appropriate course of action.

Visit the stores to check assortment of merchandise, display and old season merchandise.
-
Visit the warehouse to ensure product quality, proper replenishment, and display of merchandise.
FINANCIAL

Ensure target margins are achieved or exceeded.
-
Maintain or grow sales volume through healthy product mix and pricing by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends and competition.

Review strategies to identify new customers and new business opportunities.
-
Develop, recommend, and implement sales plans/programs designed to increase market share.
-
Specific to e-commerce, ensure that lower funnel conversion strategies are included in key digital campaigns and aligned with digital mandates to drive acquisitions, conversion and sales in online channels.

Assist in creating realistic sales forecasts after factoring in historical data, market conditions, set objectives and marketing plans.
-
Create, implement, and measure the success of sales strategy.

Assist in analyzing budgets, preparing and recommending budget plans, and scheduling expenditures in relation to growth strategies.
-
Review monthly scanned data provided by retail partners and recommend actions to improve sales.
-
Monitor sales versus set monthly sell in and sell out targets and recommend actions to achieve or exceed sales targets.
-
Review and analyze submitted reports on sales activity and other market updates that impact the brand's topline and bottom line.

Assist in monitoring actual sales performances of the SKUs on a weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual basis against forecast, budget, and previous year's performance. Track and report sell in and sell out versus targets.
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Carry out market research to identify and evaluate new business opportunities by understanding customer needs categorizing technology drivers, and following broader industry trends.

Assist in monitoring production process, determine cost efficiencies and timelines, to ensure launches are met.
-
Monitor the quality and integrity of products and services, and respond as needed to ensure brand alignment.
-
Understand key success factors and obstacles for new innovations and, where necessary, fine tune the mix and the strategy accordingly to make it locally relevant, at the same time always keeping one single brand.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for all product launches (e.g., FDA, IPO, etc.).
-
Liaise with partner suppliers and manufacturers end-to-end from product briefing to delivery.
-
Support sourcing of formulation, packaging, etc. needed as part of product innovations.
KEY ACCOUNTS

Take charge on-shelf displays through planogram/space plan negotiation with retail partners.

Ensure proper implementation of spaces, both offline and online, according to expansion targets/increase in doors.

Collaborate with trade partners on the implementation of marketing activities, present key brand growth initiatives.
-
Assist in monitoring sales performance of products and categories through scanned data provided monthly and recommend actions to improve sales.

Prepare for and attend weekly/monthly alignment meetings with trading partners to monitor progress of planned efforts.
PEOPLE AND PROCESS

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; collaborate with internal teams.

Create an effective process and information flow between brand and other disciplines (creatives, media, production, sales, logistics, etc.).

Document all processes for reference of the team and to ensure business continuity.

Identify gaps in organizational performance and make recommendations to the Brand Manager for improvement.

Assist the Brand Manager to solve complex customer management issues.
-
Foster a productive and empowering working environment.

Champion and demonstrate passion for output.

Contribute to the company's betterment and expansion.
What we're looking for

1-3 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field
-
Strong creative and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with data analysis tools
-
A keen eye for detail and a passion for building successful brands
-
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
