Job Summary:

The Cargo Representative is responsible for handling the acceptance, documentation, tracking, and coordination of cargo shipments. This role ensures that shipments are processed efficiently, comply with safety and regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time. The representative also serves as a point of contact for clients regarding cargo-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Duties

  • Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and acceptance of cargo.
  • Process shipping documents (e.g., Air Waybills, Manifests, Cargo Receipts).
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing cargo to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
  • Handle the labeling, weighing, and measuring of cargo shipments.
  • Track cargo movements and update relevant systems and clients as needed.
  • Ensure cargo is stored properly according to safety standards.

Customer Service

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, freight forwarders, or shipping agents.
  • Provide cargo quotes, schedules, and shipping instructions.
  • Resolve shipment-related issues such as delays, damages, or customs clearances.
  • Communicate clearly with warehouse teams, drivers, airline personnel, or port staff.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all cargo transactions comply with IATA, ICAO, customs, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and verify required shipping documents.
  • Assist with customs clearance procedures as needed.
  • Report discrepancies or violations to supervisors or regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • At least a high school diploma or vocational certificate; a college degree in logistics, transportation, or related field is a plus.
  • Willing to work in Paranaque and stay-in
  • Experience:

1–3 years experience in logistics, cargo handling, freight forwarding, or airline cargo operations.Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of shipping procedures, Incoterms, and cargo type
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office, email, shipment tracking tools)

Other Requirements:

  • Physically fit (may require lifting or moving packages)
  • Willing to work in shifts, weekends, or holidays
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods handling (preferred or must be trained on the job)
  • Possession of valid government IDs or licenses (especially for airport/port access)

Working Conditions:

  • May work in warehouses, cargo terminals, or airport facilities.
  • Fast-paced environment; may involve long periods of standing or exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Requires personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php15, Php17,000.00 per month
