Job Description: As a Restaurant Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet and seat guests, and handle inquiries. Your warm demeanor and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and bid them farewell as they leave.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring cleanliness and presentability at all times.
- Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure timely seating and service of guests.
- Assist guests with any special requests or accommodations they may require.
- Collaborate with serving staff to optimize table turnover and dining efficiency.
- Keep abreast of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards of hospitality and contribute to creating a positive dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong organizational abilities and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
- Knowledge of food and beverage terminology and familiarity with restaurant operations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or customer service is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move swiftly around the reception area.
- Capacity to lift and carry trays or small items as needed.
- Comfortable working in close proximity to kitchen equipment and moderate noise levels.
