Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

· Prepare moderate to complicated corporate and personal tax returns

· Income Tax Projections and Tax Planning

· Analyze IRS notices and draft responses

· Perform Income tax research

· Perform accounting functions, including records adjusting general journal entries, analyzing accounts, overseeing fixed asses and depreciation, and completing trial balance to prepare tax returns

· Contribute to the client service team by producing attentive service interacting closely with clients

· Strong working knowledge of payroll, sales tax, and property tax returns

Requirements

Required Experience / Education:

· Certified Public Accountant preferred, but will accept other applicants with considerable experience

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting

· Master's Degree in Taxation or Master's in Professional Accounting preferred

· Strong computer skills are a necessity including:  Microsoft Office Suite *Excel, Word, and Outlook) and CCH ProSystem fx

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • QuickBooks or other accounting software knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete recurring tasks
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with high standards of excellence
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Experience in a tax or law firm is preferred, but not required
