Additional qualifications/competencies:

· Background in Development Communication, Communication Arts, or Agriculture;

· Experience in a similar field is an advantage;

· Basic knowledge of Adobe Programs and other editing software;

· Adept to advance MS Office applications and other relevant software is an advantage;

· With strong research skills, good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, excellent communication, planning

III. JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Prepare news articles, content for social media, publications, and other IEC materials;

  2. Assist in the preparation of the inventory, analyses, and monitoring and evaluation reports;

  3. Consolidate information for the creation of a Five-Year Communication Plan of various Industry Strategic S&T Programs on crops;

  4. Package proposals and projects for the assigned commodity in compliance with DOST/DOST-PCAARRD guidelines and related policies, HNRDA priorities, and research areas indicated in the ISP roadmap, assist in the presentation to the approving bodies, and maintain linkages with national and international S&T partners.

  5. Coordinate consultation meetings with the stakeholders and industry experts;

  6. Conceptualize/coordinate the conduct of conferences, seminars, meetings/workshops related to the assigned commodities and ensure that the objectives of the activities are met; and

  7. Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
