DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Lead, implement, and review processes & practices within Asia that ensure high standards of governance, accuracy, and compliance as per organization standards and external legal regulations

Finance process leadership & management:

  • Business partnering and consistent review of the country trends, triggers, and levers; providing visibility that supports or influences decision making regarding people, commercial, and operational functions of the organization
  • Represent the country in the development and implementation of regional and global reporting tools, company guidelines, and standards, safeguarding local regulations and guidelines
  • Implement standardized and integrated processes and templates, aligned with internal global framework/requirements as well as external regulations · Establish effective and efficient procedures to monitor, validate, and control data quality across finance systems and reporting tools
  • Lead and manage the Annual Budget, Corporate Tax filing, and Annual Audit for the country
  • Oversee and analyse the month-end closing Procedure and P&L reporting for the country
  • Ensure the smooth management of the 'Workflow' procedure
  • Monitoring and management of the cash flow - working capital, DSO, DPO for the region and across all countries
  • Custodian for the management of financial authorisation limits across all processes · Stay abreast with current trends (internal & external) that impact the function as well as business of the organization
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders, e.g., auditors, legal advisors, tax consultants, etc.

Leadership & People Development:

  • Ambassador, personify, reinforce, and advance the organizational values and initiatives
  • Engage/ Motivate, retain, and develop finance team members
  • Provide periodic, consistent, and constructive feedback
  • Maintain a fair and inclusive work environment, fostering partnership and solidarity within the team

Others: Any other tasks assigned by the manager

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 years of experience within the Finance function and preferably the Freight Forwarding
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership and people management role
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in business or finance and accounting or related field
  • Exposure and understanding of legal & local regulations impacting the tasks of the function
  • Proficiency in English (for internal & external Communication)
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (particularly MS Excel)
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and independent
  • Attention to detail
  • Team Leadership and people management
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality & integrity
  • Others: Moderate travel within and outside country
