I. PURPOSE

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess the situation in a timely manner.
  • Protect yourself and others from any danger.
  • Reassure the casualty and keep them informed.
  • Prevent infection.
  • Assess the casualty.
  • Administer first aid treatment.
  • Arrange further assistance, if necessary.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Minimum Education – College Level

B. Minimum Experience/Training - Minimum of 3 years experience in this position.

C. Competency

A First Aider should have proven experience in safety management, knowledge of legislation and procedures, report writing skills, data analysis ability, proficiency in MS Office, organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
