Job description

Job Summary:
The Safety Officer III is responsible for implementing occupational safety and health (OSH) programs, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with government safety standards in the workplace. SO3 may supervise lower-level safety officers and play a key role in accident prevention and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor OSH programs and policies

  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses

  • Assist in incident/accident investigations and reporting

  • Recommend safety improvements and corrective actions

  • Organize and conduct safety trainings and orientations

  • Ensure compliance with DOLE requirements and company safety procedures

  • Maintain accurate safety records and reports

  • Act as the OSH Committee Secretary or support its activities

Qualifications (per DOLE DO :

  • Must have completed the 40-hour BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) Training for construction or general industry

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of OSH experience

  • Must have additional relevant training (e.g., First Aid, COSH, LCM) is an advantage

  • Must be duly accredited by DOLE as Safety Officer III
