The opportunity

Ascendion is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and reliability of our software products and services. Key responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to identify and prevent software defects
  2. Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium and Python
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify potential risks
  4. Analyse test results, generate detailed reports and provide recommendations for improvement
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques and industry best practices
  6. Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance the overall quality assurance capabilities

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  2. 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in test automation using Selenium and Python
  3. Proficient in writing clean, maintainable and scalable test scripts
  4. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and troubleshoot complex issues
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Passion for quality assurance and a continuous improvement mindset
