QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a licensed engineer
- Knowledgeable in chemical safety, occupational safety & health, and environmental laws
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
- Work experience and certification/accreditation as pollution control officer and/or safety practitioner is an advantage
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ensures compliance to all applicable environmental laws and occupational safety and health regulations that covers the operations of the company
- implements occupational safety and health programs in the workplace in accordance with the provisions of legal standards
- responsible for monitoring, preparation and compliance of reports and permits from government agencies such as DENR
- conducts training forum and toolbox talk, as needed, to provide instruction on specific Environmental, Safety and Health concern
- monitors PPE compliance and safety of warehouse personnel
- conducts inspections, determines hazards and recommends safety and health solutions
- performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
