QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a licensed engineer
  • Knowledgeable in chemical safety, occupational safety & health, and environmental laws
  • Has excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
  • Work experience and certification/accreditation as pollution control officer and/or safety practitioner is an advantage

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ensures compliance to all applicable environmental laws and occupational safety and health regulations that covers the operations of the company
  • implements occupational safety and health programs in the workplace in accordance with the provisions of legal standards
  • responsible for monitoring, preparation and compliance of reports and permits from government agencies such as DENR
  • conducts training forum and toolbox talk, as needed, to provide instruction on specific Environmental, Safety and Health concern
  • monitors PPE compliance and safety of warehouse personnel
  • conducts inspections, determines hazards and recommends safety and health solutions
  • performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
