Role Summary

As a Level 3 System Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical support and solutions to our valued customers. You will be the key to resolving escalated issues that lower-tier engineers (Level 1 and Level 2) cannot handle and performing root cause analysis for recurring problems to implement long-term solutions, all in the name of maintaining our high standards of customer service. This role involves Project Management & Implementation as the primary technical resource applying cutting-edge technologies across various infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

· System Design and Implementation

• Design and implement complex IT systems, including networks, servers, storage solutions, and cloud infrastructures
• Lead the deployment of new technologies and upgrades to existing systems

· Security Posture

• Implement and maintain advanced security measures according to Best Practices to protect the client networks
• Perform security audits and assessments and respond to security incidents

· Project Management

• Lead and manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet technical specifications and business requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution

· Performance Monitoring and Optimisation

• Monitor the performance of IT systems and infrastructure
• Optimise system performance and reliability through tuning and upgrades

· Documentation and Reporting

• Document system and network configurations, procedures, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps to maintain Knowledge Base (KB) records following the ITIL framework

· Partner Relationships

• Contribute to forming partner relationships with the vendors by completing the required certification paths

Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in designing and implementing complex virtualised or physical IT systems on Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory, Group Policy
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure design and management
• Extensive knowledge of the Office 365 platform in user management and security
• Incorporate Cyber Security principles in implementations and management
• Hands-on experience with Backup & Disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity
• Strong networking skills (firewall, switches, access points)
• Project Management and Coordination according to the business requirements
• Analytical and Problem-Solving with Critical Thinking
• Adaptability and continuous learning to keep up with the latest technologies and industry trends
