The Collections Team Leader is responsible for supervising Field Collectors within an assigned area or district and driving collection performance at the frontline level. The role ensures adherence to policies, legal guidelines, and standard practices while supporting day-to-day field operations. This position works closely with the Regional Field Collections Leader to implement strategies aimed at improving recovery and reducing delinquency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide Field Collectors to help them achieve daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.
  • Track individual and area-level performance metrics, ensuring accountability and consistent productivity.
  • Monitor collection activities, borrower visits, payment arrangements, and skip tracing efforts.
  • Implement field-level strategies to improve recovery rates and operational efficiency based on regional directives.
  • Ensure Field Collectors strictly follow established collection policies, legal requirements, and company standards.
  • Conduct field coaching, spot checks, and mentoring to strengthen team capability and performance.
  • Review and validate daily field reports, providing insights and recommendations to the Regional Leader.
  • Coordinate with branches and other departments to address account concerns and support smooth operations.
  • Identify training needs within the team and endorse development requirements to the Regional Leader.
  • Assist in the secure monitoring and safekeeping of repossessed units within the assigned area.
  • Support the endorsement of accounts to Outsourced Service Providers (OSPs) when required.
  • Complete and submit assigned reports and updates accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related fields preferred.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in field collections; leadership or senior collector experience is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex borrower situations with sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Results-driven, organized, and able to work independently in field-based operations.
  • Willing to travel within assigned areas and conduct regular fieldwork.
