Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records of the company, ensuring compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. The role includes recording daily financial transactions, preparing reconciliations, assisting in payroll, and supporting financial reporting for management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions (journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable).
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and company budgets.
- Process payroll in compliance with DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR regulations.
- Prepare and file government remittances and tax reports (e.g., VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax, Income Tax).
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Generate financial statements and reports as required by management.
- Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and government agencies when necessary.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Certified Bookkeeper or CPA (not required but an advantage).
- Experience in handling payroll and government remittances.
- Prior experience working in an outsourcing or BPO company.
