Nurse (Cardio/Pulmonary Department

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
• Monitor and record vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., ECG, echocardiogram, pulmonary function test, stress test, bronchoscopy).
• Administer prescribed medications, oxygen therapy, and intravenous fluids safely and accurately.
• Perform respiratory care techniques such as suctioning, nebulization, and chest physiotherapy as needed.
• Recognize and promptly respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies (e.g., arrhythmias, arrest situations, acute respiratory distress).
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, lifestyle modifications, and home care practices.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately in medical records.
• Participate in continuing education and training in cardiopulmonary care and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Strong knowledge of cardiac and respiratory diseases, treatment modalities, and nursing interventions.
• Excellent critical-thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure and emergency situations.
• Willingness to work in shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: Php20, Php26,000.00 per month
