Cardio Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides direct nursing care to cardiac patients before, during, and after diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
• Monitors patients' cardiac status, vital signs, ECG, and oxygen saturation.
• Assists in cardiac catheterization, stress tests, and other cardiovascular diagnostic procedures.
• Administers cardiac medications and monitors for side effects and therapeutic responses.
• Responds promptly to cardiac emergencies (e.g., arrhythmias, chest pain, cardiac arrest) following ACLS protocols.
• Coordinates care with cardiologists, physicians, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Educates patients and families about cardiovascular disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Ensures proper functioning and maintenance of cardiac monitoring and life-support equipment.
• Adheres to infection control and hospital safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• License: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
• Experience: Preferably with at least 1–2 years of experience in a cardiac care unit, ICU, or step-down unit (fresh graduates may be considered with strong clinical background).
• Training/Certification:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred or must be willing to obtain
• Cardiac Nursing or Critical Care training – an advantage
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation
• Ability to handle cardiac emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php23, Php26,000.00 per month
