Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides direct nursing care to cardiac patients before, during, and after diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Monitors patients' cardiac status, vital signs, ECG, and oxygen saturation.
Assists in cardiac catheterization, stress tests, and other cardiovascular diagnostic procedures.
Administers cardiac medications and monitors for side effects and therapeutic responses.
Responds promptly to cardiac emergencies (e.g., arrhythmias, chest pain, cardiac arrest) following ACLS protocols.
Coordinates care with cardiologists, physicians, and other multidisciplinary team members.
Educates patients and families about cardiovascular disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
Ensures proper functioning and maintenance of cardiac monitoring and life-support equipment.
Adheres to infection control and hospital safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
License: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
Experience: Preferably with at least 1–2 years of experience in a cardiac care unit, ICU, or step-down unit (fresh graduates may be considered with strong clinical background).
Training/Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred or must be willing to obtain
Cardiac Nursing or Critical Care training – an advantage
Skills and Competencies:
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in ECG interpretation
Ability to handle cardiac emergencies calmly and efficiently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
