The IT Manager is to lead and manage the IT operations of the company, support the sales team by bridging technical knowledge gaps, ensure technical training and pre/post-sales support are executed effectively, oversee infrastructure and software solutions and IT infrastructure and systems support. To ensure technical (product knowledge) training and pre/post-sales support are executed efficiently and effectively, and all IT-related initiatives from Holding Company are supported to ensure inter-holding company and inter-affiliate collaboration, compliance, and innovation are aligned towards overall business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Product Knowledge Awareness Support
- Provide technical support and product orientation to sales personnel.
- Assist with pre-sales consultation and client technical meetings.
- Deliver technical insights for proposals, quotations, and solution design.
- Conduct post-sales support as needed (installation, configuration, etc.).
2. Technical Support to Sales Team
- Conduct technical product knowledge orientation and training on IT solutions (e.g., laptops, servers, infrastructure, integration).
- Assist sales personnel in understanding technical specifications and client requirements.
- Accompany sales reps in pre-sales and post-sales client meetings.
- Provide technical input to sales personnel for proposals and quotations.
3. IT Operations & Infrastructure Management
- Install and configure hardware, software, and networks with prior approval and consultation with the General Manager and Executives.
- Maintain cybersecurity, backups, system upgrades, and troubleshooting, for other affiliates as instructed by the Executives
- Ensure system availability, efficiency, and security for internal and client-facing systems.
- Participate in IT-related activities across other affiliates, as required.
4. Specific IT Support Tasks
- Recommend and implement construction-focused software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, AutoCAD collaboration, project tracking tools, or any applicable software and tools).
- Provide training for site engineers and project managers on digital tools.
- Automate and streamline documentation for pre-, during, and post-construction phases (toolbox, punch lists, reports, etc.)
- Ensure remote access, mobile app use, and site-based systems are functioning.
- Propose and implement systems in coordination with the Holding Company IT Department such as:
- Ticketing System for tech support
- Data Backup & Recovery Solutions
- IT Asset Inventory and Accountability System
- Sales Report System
- Client Pool List (per Account Manager, Product, etc.)
- Online OB, etc.
- Monitor infrastructure uptime and security.
- Guide Junior IT staff on technical escalations and performance issues.
- Regularly evaluate and propose upgrades to internal tools.
- Participate in Management Committee (ManCom) meetings to present:
- Sales-support information (orientation, training, etc.)
- Ongoing IT projects
- Proposals for system improvements or innovations
- Identified risks and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with other departments (HR, Finance, Operations) to integrate digital transformation.
- Based on the direction of Executives,
- Assist in the process to ensure that all networks, servers, and devices are secure and well-maintained.
- Assist in software installation, licensing, and configuration for all affiliates.
- Collaborate with the IT Team in data privacy and cybersecurity initiatives across all business units.
5. Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Conduct technical training, huddle, product orientation for:
Internal staff
Sales team (with reporting to AVP - Sales)
Affiliate IT users (basic to advanced system use), when requested
- Develop and implement internal technical training programs.
- Maintain a documented list of product knowledge materials and technical training programs for submission to HR Department.
6. Planning, Budgeting & Procurement
- Prepare annual IT budgets (hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, trainings)
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Assess vendors and recommend purchases or contracts for IT-related services.
7. People & Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop IT Personnel.
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure team productivity.
- Delegate tasks and review IT Personnel performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify development needs.
- Conduct regular meetings to align on priorities and provide coaching.
8. Coordination & Update
- Report to the General Manager on IT infrastructure, performance, and planning.
- Report to the AVP – Sales regarding training sessions, product orientations, quotation support, and product technical alignment.
- Prepare regular updates, incident reports, and project status summaries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT operations, with leadership exposure.
- Experience in both technical support and IT-business alignment, and with exposure to pre-sales or technical sales support.
- Experience working in or with an IT product or service company is an advantage.
