We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable / Accounting Staff member to support our finance team. This role focuses primarily on managing accounts payable functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments, maintaining proper financial records, and assisting with general accounting and tax-related tasks.

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are in place.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records, ensuring consistency with general ledger balances.
  • Monitor due dates and payment terms to ensure timely disbursement of payments and avoid late fees or penalties.
  • Address and resolve invoice discrepancies, working with vendors and internal departments as necessary.
  • Prepare and process batch payments, including checks, wire transfers, and online payments.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process by reconciling AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and preparing reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and remittances related to VAT, withholding tax, and other government requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of permits, licenses, and financial compliance documents.
  • Perform interdepartmental coordination to verify purchase orders, receipts, and approvals.
  • Help process payroll and mandatory government contributions, as needed.
  • Support the finance team in various accounting, audit, and financial reporting tasks.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work at BGC, Taguig.
  • 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
  • Willing to start ASAP
