Accounting Associate

Job Summary:

Will be responsible for the accurate preparation and timely filing of BIR tax returns and compliance reports such as SLS, SLP, and Alpha lists

Also support other BIR-related transactions including audits, registrations, and updates, while assisting in the preparation of AFS and ITR and will ensure proper documentation, maintain organized tax records, and coordinate with internal teams to uphold compliance with all tax regulations

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Liaise with tax authorities and respond to queries or audits and accurately prepare, review, and file various BIR tax returns (e.g. VAT, Percentage Withholding Tax & etc.) on time through eBIR and EFPS

• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and advise on potential implications

• Encode and submit Quarterly Alphalist, Summary List of Purchases and Sales

• Facilitate BIR transactions including new registration, updates and tax types additio or changes such as but not limited to change address, registered name & trade name

• Prepare documentation for statutory audits, tax audits, and internal reviews

• Support risk assessments and mitigation strategies

• Assist in the preparation and submission of Annual Financial Statements (AFS), Annual Income Tax Return (ITR), and other required filings

• Review BIR Form No. 2307 received from customers to confirm the correctness of details for proper Income Tax Credit claims

• Ensure compliance by systematically organizing invoices by month

and quarter, attaching document lists for proper tracking and verifying completeness and accuracy of records before tax return filing

• Maintain accurate tax and compliance records

• Work cross-functionally with accounting, legal, treasury and purchasing departments and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
