Junior Backend Developer

Overview: We are looking for a Back End Developer to support our technology team and will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of our cloud-based applications and platforms and deliver great products and tools empowering the future of financial services and outsourcing in the Philippines. You will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to implement APIs, enhance system functionality, and ensure seamless integration of backend components.

As a back end developer you will have the opportunity to work with a young, dynamic and motivated team of people. You will have a level of autonomy to perform your role while reporting directly to the CTO and collaborating closely with the Head of Product.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of backend applications and APIs.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Support database management
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues and propose effective solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies relevant to backend development and cloud computing.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of solid hands-on experience in designing & developing server side applications including at least 1 year of experience with Nodejs
• Solid experience with Relational and NOSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience using Git
• Experience with designing API
• Docker
• Experience in SDLC process
• Understanding algorithms and data structures

Will be a plus:

• Experience with React or any other Front End frameworks
• SSR, SSG
• GraphQL, gRPC
• Knowledge of other backend technologies
