Job Title: Senior Backend Developer - JAVA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our agile development team. This role involves working closely with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams to refine requirements, develop scalable backend features, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate is experienced in backend development, automated testing, and cloud technologies, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Owner and Team

Refine user stories and break down requests into manageable tasks with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Feature Development

Design, implement, and maintain backend features that meet business and technical requirements.

  • Bug Fixing

Investigate and resolve reported issues to ensure system stability and performance.

  • Automated Testing

Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure code reliability.

  • Code Reviews

Review peer code for quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.

  • Technology Research

Explore and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and platforms to support business goals and improve efficiency.

  • Progress Communication

Provide regular updates on development progress and timelines to stakeholders.

  • Issue Escalation

Identify blockers and escalate issues promptly to ensure smooth project execution.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development
  • Strong proficiency in backend programming (e.g., Java 17/21)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Agile/Scrum experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php100, Php130,000.00 per month
