Assistant Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in the sales team, acting as a bridge between the sales force and the Sales Manager. This role is instrumental in implementing plans and strategies and ensuring the sales team's goals are aligned with the Company's objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES
1.a. Second in command of territory assigned
1.b. In the absence of the Sales Manager, is responsible for approving any special requirements submitted by AE's which will be subject for approval of the President and CEO
1.c. Collaborate with Sales Manager in developing and implementing strategies to increase productivity and output of the team
1.d. Address customers' concerns. Escalate only if decision is beyond the scope of the job level
1.e. Guide AE in territory handled as and when needed
1.f. Ensure to meet individual and team monthly targets
1.g. Recommend to Management potential product improvements and changes to ensure that the Company meets current market needs and demands
1.h. Analyze competitors' products to determine and compare product features, benefits, shortfalls, and market success versus ABC products
1.i. Assist the Sales Manager in ensuring to consistently meet the departments' KPI's (sales revenue, AR, development of new accounts, timely monitoring and safekeeping of contracts)
- SALES ACTIVITIES
2.a. Monitor monthly performance of all accounts handled
2.b. Maximizing coverage of existing and new accounts in the assigned territory through cold calls, face to face meetings, product presentations and telemarketing
2.c. Ability to negotiate and collaborate with key decision makers to identify opportunities and create growth for both ABC and clients to achieve desired sales results.
2.d. Closely monitor all prospect accounts (hotels and OCS segment) whose contracts will expire within 3 months with competitors and ensure that ABC will have the opportunity to bid
2.e. Set regular meetings especially with key accounts to ensure clients' needs are attended to in a timely manner and for them to avoid searching for another provider
2.f. Develop and sustain long-lasting business relationships with customers
2.g. Must be accountable for the total requirements and concerns of accounts and dealers handled such as service, delivery and on-hold status challenges
2.h. Attend trade shows and customer events
- ACCOUNTING RELATED TASKS:
3.a. Completion of billing process per account for submission and coordination with Accounting department
3.b. Assist Accounting in weekly collection from key accounts and overdue accounts
3.c. Ensure to reduce accounts receivables and past due accounts
B. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Back up both Sales & Operations Manager or Assistant Sales Manager in all sales related functions most especially supporting AE and Sales Specialist
- ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:
2.a. Preparation of proposals and bid documentations
2.b. Monitor that hotels, OCS, and dealer's contracts are all signed, updated and notarized. Copies of which must be submitted and received by Accounting via log sheet
2.c. Establish required alignment meetings with departments' concerned based on client's target timelines to have a smooth execution of project and achieve customer satisfaction
2.d. Timely reporting and recording of all sales activities via viber chat and weekly presentation during sales meetings
2.e. Upon implementation of new automation system, encoding and updating of pertinent information per client should be done on a daily/weekly basis
OTHERS:
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines and regulations while working, ensuring a safe working environment
- Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the area assigned
- Perform other duties that may be assigned at any given time
- Can be relocated on a temporary basis as the need arises
III. QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational Attainment: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management and Marketing
- Work Experience: at least 5 years related experience in field work. Experience in creating sales strategies and annual budget plans. Experience in managing a team Skills: Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work demands.
- Analytical and problem solving skills. Knowledge in MS Office and Google Apps.
- With a valid driver's license and at least 1 year of driving experience to perform the job safely.
- Attention to Detail: Must be keen to details, organized and target driven
- Communication: Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
