Key Responsibilities:

  • Training & Education:

    Design, develop, and conduct training sessions on mechanical engineering principles, tools, and technologies. This includes creating training materials, manuals, and presentations tailored to different experience levels.
  • Mentorship:

    Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to engineers, technicians, and junior team members to help them grow in their mechanical engineering careers. Offer guidance on technical challenges, career development, and problem-solving approaches.
  • Knowledge Sharing:

    Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by organizing knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and peer-to-peer learning groups. Ensure that the team stays updated on the latest industry trends, codes, and standards.
  • Technical Documentation:

    Develop clear, concise, and accessible documentation that explains complex engineering concepts, design processes, and best practices. Ensure all resources are regularly updated to reflect the latest technologies and methods.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure that knowledge is being shared effectively and that technical skills are aligned with company objectives.
  • Performance Evaluation & Feedback:

    Track the progress of individuals and teams in relation to training goals. Provide constructive feedback and work with managers to identify additional training needs based on team performance and development goals.
  • Problem Solving & Technical Support:

    Provide expert advice and troubleshooting support for mechanical design and engineering challenges. Help the team resolve complex issues through hands-on guidance and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    Identify opportunities for process improvements within the engineering team and lead initiatives to enhance technical proficiency, efficiency, and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience:

    3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 1-2 years focused on training, mentoring, or educating others in an engineering environment.
  • Technical Skills:

    Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Teaching & Mentoring Experience:

    Previous experience in a teaching, coaching, or mentoring role is highly preferred.
  • Problem Solving:

    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:

    Ability to lead training initiatives, work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, and foster a positive learning environment.
