Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

A Mechanical Engineer knowledgeable in LEED is a specialized role focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing mechanical & electrical systems within buildings to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. This role combines traditional mechanical & electrical engineering with an understanding of sustainable design principles and the LEED rating system

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in sustainable design and LEED. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) & electrical building systems to meet LEED requirements. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to deliver energy-efficient, environmentally responsible, and high-performance buildings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Serve as the primary mechanical lead for LEED projects, ensuring all mechanical & electrical designs align with LEED prerequisites & credits (Energy & Atmosphere, Indoor Environmental Quality)

  • Prepare & submit documentation for LEED certification, working closely with the project team & LEED consultants

  • Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, & system sizing

  • Design & engineer HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, & air conditioning)

  • Know how to use AutoCAD for design, modeling/drawing & analysis

  • Work collaboratively with team to ensure seamless integration of mechanical & electrical systems within the overall building design

  • Provide technical guidance & support to team for mechanical design principles

  • Prepare design documents, specifications, drawings, & reports

  • Presentations to communicate design, findings, & recommendations to team

  • Understanding of bulding codes, industry standards (ASHRAE)

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, & presentation skills

  • Verification of As-built

  • Conduct airflow test, air volume - testing & commissioning

  • Coordination with all Tenants & Building Admin

  • Know how in bidding, sourcing & bid evaluation

Qualifications:

  • Must be Bachelor's Degree Graduate, preferably BS Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have experience in estimating, bidding, review of construction plans and specifications
  • Must have experience in LEED
  • Analytical with good communication skills
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
  • Willing to work on-site in Bagumbayan, Quezon City

Job Type: Project Based - 1 year contract
