Billing Analyst – Healthcare Provider

Job Summary:

The Billing Analyst is responsible for finding and fixing billing errors for payers and patients and will manage incoming calls from them. A thorough knowledge of medical billing processes, payer rules, and healthcare reimbursement is crucial for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze patient billing data and ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).

  • Monitor and resolve billing errors, denials, and discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure complete and accurate patient documentation for billing.

  • Perform account reconciliations and adjustments based on EOBs (Explanation of Benefits).

  • Assist with payer audits and provide necessary documentation.

  • Maintain current knowledge of payer requirements, coding changes, and healthcare billing regulations.

  • Provide support in responding to patient and payer billing inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or medical claims processing.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare insurance and reimbursement processes.

  • Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
