Field/Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, integration, and testing of telecom network equipment (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei).
  • Execute site surveys, prepare site readiness reports, and verify technical feasibility before implementation.
  • Carry out troubleshooting, fault analysis, and resolution of hardware/software issues during and after installation.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, customer requirements, and telecom industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain site documentation, including installation reports, test records, and as-built files.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Technical Teams, and Vendors to ensure smooth site execution.
  • Monitor subcontractor work and ensure quality and safety compliance at sites.
  • Perform acceptance testing and support handover of completed sites to the client.
  • Provide technical support for upgrades, expansions, and ongoing site maintenance activities.
  • Travel extensively to different sites as required by project demands.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven field experience in telecom implementation with Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei equipment.
  • Strong understanding of wireless technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) and transmission systems.
  • Proficiency in site tools, test instruments, and telecom software (e.g., OSS, NodeB/eNodeB/gNodeB tools).
  • Hands-on skills in equipment installation, antenna alignment, cabling, and RF testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices for fieldwork.
  • Ability to work independently in field conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours based on project needs.
